About

When Jesus was asked to give His number one rule for life, He said, “Love God.” He then volunteered His number two rule for life–”Love your neighbor.”  This simple, but all-encompassing, challenge is why Emmaus exists.  We are striving to love God with everything we are and have, while expressing a selfless love toward the people around us.  Life is complicated enough–we believe our faith doesn’t need to be.  We just want to love God and to love our neighbors.

Within the community of Emmaus, one can find people of many different backgrounds and life experiences, but we all have one thing in common.  We all desire to grow in our love of Jesus and to partner with Him in the redemption of the world around us.  We express this desire through our corporate worship servicesHouse Churches, mission endeavors, and through fostering Christ-centered relationships.  While we may have our differences, we are unified in the Spirit of Christ.

We would be so honored if you would join us, even if only for a visit, in our pursuit of loving God and loving people.  Within this website, you will find information about our basic beliefsworship servicesHouse Churches, and other avenues of involvement.  We encourage you to learn more about us.  If you have any questions about Emmaus, feel free to email us at info@EmmausSpringfield.com.  Even if Emmaus doesn’t seem to be a good fit for you, contact us.  We would be glad to recommend one of the many other great churches in our area.

As you walk your on your journey of life, we pray that God leads you to community of believers that supports, challenges, and loves you.  Perhaps, you will find that community in Emmaus.  God bless!
